Elaine K. Ryan - Attorney
Attorney Elaine K. Ryan holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, a Masters
Degree in International Management, as well as a Juris Doctorate in Law. She also holds
a certificate of completion of studies from the World Institute of Legal Studies, Innsbruck,
Austria. Although Elaine has lived throughout the United States, she is a native of Fort
Worth, Texas. She returned here to develop her practice.
Elaine formerly worked at the United States Department of Justice in Washington, D.C.,
and as Corporate Counsel for a "Fortune 500" corporation early in her legal career. She
opted to leave the dry corporate world behind and opened her family law practice after
years of providing private-practice services for family and friends, which proved to be far
more personally satisfying than corporate law.
Elaine is an experienced litigator and mediator and is also an advocate of Collaborative
Law, a process of resolving the contested issues of a divorce or custody dispute through
problem-solving sessions designed to limit the stress and conflict in the negotiations and
to allow parties to end their marriage or resolve custody disputes with privacy and dignity.
She is fully experienced, trained and prepared to assist clients in the resolution of these
contested issues through collaborative law, mediation or litigation, depending upon which
process is most appropriate for the circumstances of the individual client.
Legal Assistants
Phyllis and Jane together have 18+ years of experience in their positions and, although
they cannot by law dispense legal advice, are well versed in handling clients' questions
and issues that arise when the attorney is not directly available. They are both married
and have two children each. This office provides flex hours to accommodate their needs to
attend to their families, as well as to attend to your needs during office hours.
